Simbologicamente, la sua discesa nel regno dell’aldilà è anche una metafora dell’introspezione: Persefone è infatti simbolo di tutti coloro che sanno guardarsi dentro, e anche di chi sa aiutare il prossimo a farlo. Persefone è, in qualche modo, l’archetipo della guida spirituale; è un personaggio fortemente legato al soprannaturale, al cosiddetto “sesto senso”, al Terzo Occhio, a tutto ciò che è non visibile ma solo percettibile. In questo caso abbiamo pensato a un trattamento rilassante, che lavora soprattutto nel calmare ed equilibrare il sistema nervoso e il sistema endocrino, vere e proprie porte verso le altre dimensioni della realtà. Nella riflessologia vengono trattati entrambi i sistemi, in associazione ad uno scrub extra-fine aromatizzato alla lavanda. Seguono un bagno con fiori di lavanda e salvia, e la parte finale con il pindasweda, il tradizionale trattamento indiano con i fagottini di cotone riempiti con spezie, erbe ed olii e imbevuti in olio caldo.
Persephone Ritual is dedicated to Demeter’s daughter, which is often associated to Spring, while her original archetype is rather that of Queen of the Underworld. Symbolically, her descent into the afterlife realm is also a metaphore of introspection: Persephone is infact the symbol of those who know how to look within, and also of those who know how to help others in looking within them.Persephone is, somehow, the archetype of the spiritual guide: her character is strongly bound to the supernatural, to the so-called “sixth sense”, to the Third Eye, to all those things which are not visible but just perceivable. In this case we thought about a relaxing treatment, that works mainly in calming and balancing the nervous and endocrine systems, which are truly the doors towards otherdimensions of our reality. In reflexology we treat both systems, in combination with an extra-fine lavender flavored scrub. A bath with lavender and sage flowers is following, and then we come up to the final part with pindasweda, the traditional Indian treatment withthe cotton bundles filled with spices, herbs and oils, and then soaked in hot oil.
